The Kidney Foundation of Canada has a long and rich history in Ontario. We are people working together for a common cause. Motivated by a variety of reasons and from all walks of life, we are volunteers, patients, donors, and employees.
Historical changes were made to The Kidney Foundation’s historical structure in 2007. Three former branches re-organized to form a new entity – the Ontario Branch. Two years later, the Ontario Branch continues to evolve its volunteer and employee structures, enhance and improve patients services, public education programs, awareness campaigns and strengthen community partnerships.
By engaging a variety of partners, the Foundation has been able to implement initiatives which directly address the needs of the kidney community. The Ontario Branch has developed a variety of fundraising initiatives; identified priorities for patient services and organ donor awareness activities and developed effective relationships with government and other organizations.
Today, through a network of chapters, units and community groups. The Kidney Foundation provides kidney patients and their families with education and emotional support.
The Kidney Foundation’s funding is entirely from the general public, including contributions from corporations, foundations, individuals and special events. The support of volunteers is always welcome. Learn More |
